Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: ED - Emergency DepartmentDiscipline: RNStart Date: 11/09/2026Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelRegistered Nurse ER (Adult) Scheduling Details and Charting Shift Hours: 7 PM - 7 AM Contract Length: 13 weeks Charting System: EPIC experience required Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Requests for Time Off (RTO) and Special Scheduling: Must be submitted upon application Call-Off Policy: The facility may cancel up to three shifts during the contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed First-Time Travelers: Accepted Local Nurses: RN's within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted; local LPNs accepted Required License/Certifications Active New York Single State RN License required (no pending licenses accepted) Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (valid NIHSS certification required) Required Clinical Skills IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs; IV vasopressors CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management Experience with CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI Cardiac monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Emergency care for various adult and pediatric conditions including gunshot wounds and orthopedic trauma Isolation precautions and triage; pediatric spinal cord injury management Unit Details and Floating Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:5 for adults and geriatrics; all emergency-type diagnoses Special Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment Floating: Required to float within skill set Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white Hospital Highlights The emergency department is a state-of-the-art, 24/7 facility designed for rapid patient care and equipped with advanced diagnostic technology.
