Travel ER RN - $2,488 per week

TotalMed is seeking an Emergency Room RN for a travel nursing opportunity in Charlottesville, VA. The role involves working with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions in a fast-paced, urgent, and emergency environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor medical operations
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long-term care needs
• Document medical history
• Check for patient allergies
• Obtain patient vital signs
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being
• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds
• Good coping skills for stress
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment

Schedule

• 13-week duration
• 48 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts
