Scheduling and charting

• Shift Hours: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Charting: EPIC experience required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed

Required license and certifications

• Active New York Single State RN license (Pending License not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification required

Required clinical skills

• IV therapy (blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs; IV vasopressors)
• CPAP/BiPAP; Ventilator management
• CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI
• Cardiac monitoring (interpretation and management of dysrhythmias)
• Emergency care (adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma)
• Isolation precautions; Triage; Pediatric spinal cord injury

Unit details and floating

• Staffing Ratios: 1:5 for adults and geriatrics; all emergency type diagnoses
• Special Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment
• Floating: Required to float within skillset
• Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white
