Travel ER RN - $2,374 per week

About the role

Junxion Med Staffing seeks a travel RN for the Emergency Department in Midland, Texas. Assignment starts November 2, 2026, lasts approximately 10 weeks (10.14 weeks), 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients of all age groups (neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics).
• Manage conditions such as abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, drug overdose, gunshot wounds, head injury, hyperglycemia, infection, and others.
• Perform procedures including intubation, blood product administration, starting and maintaining IVs, and managing ventilated patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (respiratory, social services, pharmacy, unit secretary).
• Work some holidays as needed.

Requirements

• Current RN license (pending license accepted with submission, must be active before start).
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience in a facility of equivalent size.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must be willing to obtain if offered).
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
• COVID‑19 vaccine not required.
• Drug screen required on‑site for specified substances.
• Local radius restriction: 50 miles.

Qualifications

• Preferred 5‑8 years of ER experience.
• Recent ER travel experience within the past 6‑8 months.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
• Level II or III trauma experience preferred.

Skills

• Ability to manage a broad range of emergency conditions (abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, drug overdose, gunshot wounds, head injury, hyperglycemia, infection, etc.).
• Proficiency in intubation, blood product administration, IV initiation and maintenance, ventilator management.
• Comfort caring for neonates through geriatric patients.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems calculated from nationally published GSA rates; actual weekly pay and per diems may vary.

• Expectation to work some holidays.
