Travel ER RN - $2,299 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a travel nursing opportunity in Waupaca, Wisconsin. In this role, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. You should be prepared to care for patients in a fast-paced, urgent, and emergency environment, performing minor medical operations, advising patients and families on illnesses or injuries, and planning long-term care needs.

Responsibilities

• Document medical history and check for patient allergies
• Obtain patient vital signs and monitor emotional and physical well-being
• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies

Requirements

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC certifications
• 3 years of experience (noted in requirements section)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds
• Strong coping skills for stress and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds

Schedule

• 13-week duration
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts
