Travel ER RN - $2,271 per week

About the role

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care for critically ill patients, manage complex health issues, and administer emergency medical interventions. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, implementing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias).
• Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Start and maintain IVs, administer IV sedation, and vasopressors.
• Care for patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP and ventilated patients.
• Perform triage and follow isolation precautions.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) as part of patient assessment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience; 2 years of recent ER experience required.
• Active state nursing license (NY or compact) required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• No disciplinary issues on nursing license.
• Able to work every other weekend and adhere to scheduling requirements.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of emergency room procedures and protocols.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Schedule Night shifts available: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), 36 guaranteed hours per week, with every other weekend required.
