Travel ER RN - $2,237 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Newburgh, New York. The assignment starts 10/12/2026, lasts 12 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain vital signs, and monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, administer IV therapy, maintain supplies and equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop; lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Cope with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds in a fast‑paced emergency environment.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience (preferred).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week; assignment duration 12 weeks starting 10/12/2026.
