Travel ER RN - $2,233 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Wausau, Wisconsin. The assignment starts 10/26/2026, lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Document medical history and check for patient allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Perform minor medical operations as directed.

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 1‑2 years recent acute care experience (some references note 3 years experience).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 20 lb routinely (up to 50 lb for patient moves).
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
