About the role
The Emergency Department at a level 2 trauma center is seeking dedicated registered nurses to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment. The role involves assessing and managing a variety of patient cases, including trauma, chest pain, stroke, and psychiatric emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Emergency Department with a ratio of 1:6.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Absorb patient assessments and triage in alignment with department protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including EM Board Certified Physicians.
- Participate in departmental activities and maintain compliance with health regulations.
- Document patient care using the EPIC charting system.
Requirements
- Current NY RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC and PALS preferred.
- Covid-19 vaccination is required; no declination forms accepted.
