Job Details

• Shift: 12‑hour days
• Total weekly hours: 36

• Trauma level: Facility specific (Level II required, Level I preferred)
• Certifications required: TNCC, BLS, ACLS, PALS

Required Experience and Certifications

• 36 months of emergency medicine experience
• Experience caring for pediatrics and adults
• Experience with drips including sedatives and vasoactive medications
• Experience reading, measuring, interpreting telemetry strips
• Active TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• AHA or ARC BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• AHA or ARC ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• Level II trauma experience
• Work history/resume showing 36 months of current Emergency Department/ER experience

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience with behavioral health patients
• EPIC EMR experience
• Level I trauma experience
• Professional reference from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within the last 24 months

Required Licensure

• Active Iowa (IA) nursing license or compact/multistate license at the time of submission

Documents Required

• Driver’s license
• TNCC certification documentation
• Nursing licensure document

Other Requirements

• Skills checklist specific to Emergency Department/Emergency Room
• Professional reference preferred within last 24 months
