Travel ER RN - $2,083 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking an Emergency Room RN for a travel nursing opening in Seattle, WA. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. As an ER Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies
• Document medical history, checking for any allergies patients might have
• Obtain patient vital signs
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being
• Perform minor medical operations
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long-term care needs

Requirements

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH certifications
• 1 year of recent acute care experience
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times
• Good skills for coping with stress
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Schedule

• 13 weeks duration
• 36 hours per week
• 12 hour night shifts
