MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Alton, Illinois. The position starts 10/26/2026, lasts 12 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts. MedPro is a Joint Commission‑certified staffing agency that places nursing and allied travelers in top healthcare facilities nationwide.
Responsibilities
Emergency Room registered nurses (RN) provide care for patients with various illnesses or trauma requiring emergency attention and must recognize and effectively treat life‑threatening conditions. Responsibilities include assessing, intervening, and stabilizing a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action; understanding triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need; making quick and accurate assessments of incoming patients’ physical and mental health; and possessing knowledge of general and specific health issues to handle the range of conditions that may require urgent treatment.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required (depending on the position)
- Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care Emergency Room setting
- Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility
