Travel nurse RN Emergency Department position in Monroe, Louisiana. Start date: October 19, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts. Employment type: Travel. MedPro Healthcare Staffing (Joint Commission‑certified) is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for an Emergency Room assignment with a top healthcare client.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with various illnesses or trauma requiring emergency attention.
• Recognize and effectively treat life‑threatening conditions.
• Assess, intervene, and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Prioritize injuries based on medical need through proper triage.
• Make quick and accurate assessments of incoming patients, including physical and mental health conditions.
• Possess knowledge of general and specific health issues relevant to emergency care.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required (depending on the position).
• Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care Emergency Room setting.
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.
