Travel ER RN - $2,038 per week

About the Role

TotalMed is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a travel nursing opportunity in Keyser, West Virginia. This 13-week assignment involves 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain patient vital signs, and monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, and provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment and report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods without difficulty.
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Good coping skills for stress and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
