Travel ER RN - $2,036 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Odessa, Texas. This 13-week assignment begins on September 15, 2026.

About the Role

This travel nursing position requires 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift. The role is ideal for an ER RN with experience in high-acuity, trauma-level care.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in a Level II Trauma Center with a patient ratio of 4
• Provide emergency care for conditions including but not limited to:
  • Abdominal pain, acute psychosis, arterial line management
  • Asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration
  • Burns, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management
  • Chest tube insertion/management, continuous IV paralytics/sedation
  • CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), drug overdose, emergency medications
  • Epiglottitis, gunshot wounds, head injury, hyperglycemia
  • Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, identification/reporting of neglect or abuse
  • Infection control, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias
  • Intubation, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors
  • Management of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
  • Managing violent behavior, mental/behavioral health conditions
  • Near drowning, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy
  • Poison ingestion, procedural sedation administration/monitoring
  • Psychiatric hold, respiratory infection, seizures, sickle cell crisis
  • Skin disorders, spinal cord injury, starting and maintaining IVs
  • Suicidal patient care, traumatic amputation, traumatic brain injury
  • Triage, urinary tract infection
• Care for patients across all age groups: neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in an ER setting
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center
• Travel nursing experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cerner charting system

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems for eligible clinicians based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay and per diems may differ and are subject to change during an assignment.
