Travel ER RN - $2,030 per week

About the Role

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department (ED) in Odessa, Texas. This is a 13-week assignment starting on October 20, 2026, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and critical care to patients with conditions such as abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, burns, CVA, drug overdose, gunshot wounds, head injury, hyperglycemia, hypothermia, infections, and more.
• Manage arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, central lines, chest tubes, continuous IV paralytics, and sedation.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), dysrhythmias, and perform procedures like intubation, phlebotomy, and procedural sedation.
• Handle triage, manage violent behavior, and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, psychiatric holds, seizures, sickle cell crisis, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
• Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG, apply splints, and manage isolation precautions/PPE.

Requirements

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Travel experience required.
• Preferred experience with Cerner charting system.
• Patient ratio experience: 4.

Qualifications

• RN license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Skills

• Emergency and critical care skills, including management of dysrhythmias, ventilated patients, and multisystem organ failure.
• Proficiency in procedural sedation, intubation, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias.
• Experience with triage, managing violent behavior, and caring for patients with mental/behavioral health conditions.
