Travel ER RN - $1,990 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking an Emergency Room RN for a travel nursing opening in Renton, WA. This position involves working with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions in a fast-paced, urgent, and emergency environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor medical operations
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long-term care needs
• Document medical history
• Check for any allergies patients might have
• Obtain patient vital signs
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being
• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH certifications
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times
• Good skills for coping with stress
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay & Schedule

• Duration: 16 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts
• Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
