About the role
This is a 13-week travel contract position for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse on the night shift. The role involves providing care to patients in a fast-paced environment, managing a variety of diagnoses and critical situations.
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Includes 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
Responsibilities
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Monitor patient conditions and assess their needs to provide optimal care.
- Perform triage and manage patient flow in the Emergency Department efficiently.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and care plans.
- Utilize proper infection control techniques and maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department required.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required; CPI, PALS, and TNCC preferred.
- Experience with Epic electronic charting system is mandatory.
- Previous charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred.
- Active RN license must be in hand at submission.
