About the role

This travel ER RN assignment at Rumford Hospital in Rumford, Maine places you in a 25-bed critical access hospital offering 24-hour emergency care and a range of healthcare services. Rumford is nestled in the scenic River Valley region of western Maine, known for the beautiful Rumford Falls, one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi. Portland, Maine is about a 90-minute drive southeast.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Care for patients of all ages with various illnesses and injuries
• Work as one of only two RNs in the department per shift
• Handle all sick and injured patients in the area, as this is the only hospital within 40 miles of a trauma center

Requirements

• Current nursing licensure (RN Compact accepted)
• 2 years of emergency room experience
• Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS
• SSN required
• DOB required
• 1 reference in entire work history

Preferred Qualifications

• EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system proficiency
• Skills in rapid assessment and patient stabilization

Pay

Pay rate: $1849.00 – $1944.00 per week, based on 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

13-week duration starting September 28, 2026. 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.
