About the Role

Travel Emergency Room RN jobs in Salem, VA, place you in a 506-bed hospital with a Level II Trauma Center. The facility features a 26-bed emergency department and serves as a major referral center for Southwest Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a 26-bed emergency department
• Work 12-hour evening shifts as a travel ER RN
• Utilize trauma care skills and Meditech EMR systems
• Deliver acute care in a Level II Trauma Center setting

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a compact state
• At least 1 year of recent emergency room experience
• Current TNCC certification
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CERT-Crisis Prevention Intervention certifications
• CPI Blue Card must be obtained within 30 days of start if not yet certified
• Social Security Number and DOB required
• Work history should not have more than a 90-day gap in the last year

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Trauma care skills

Pay

$1781.00 - $1873.00 per week, based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
