About the role
TotalMed RN is seeking an Emergency Room RN for an immediate travel nurse opening in Everett, Washington. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. As an ER Travel Nurse you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage, and implement care following correct procedures and physician instructions. You will need experience and skill caring for patients in a fast‑paced, urgent, and emergency environment, performing minor medical operations, advising patients and families on illnesses or injuries, and planning long‑term care needs.
Responsibilities
- Document medical history
- Check for patient allergies
- Obtain patient vital signs
- Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being
- Provide basic bedside care
- Clean and bandage wounds
- Provide IV therapy
- Maintain supplies and medical equipment
- Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies
- Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions
Requirements
- 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- TNCC certification
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
