About the role
ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical and emotional health.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
- Monitor and document patient responses to care and adjust plans as necessary.
- Provide patient and family education regarding conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Triage patients effectively to prioritize care based on the severity of illness or injury.
- Assist in resuscitation, stabilization, and advanced life support procedures during emergencies.
- Operate and maintain emergency equipment, including defibrillators, monitors, and ventilators.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Promote patient and staff safety by following infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency or critical care setting preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications required.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts from 12 PM to 12 AM, including every other weekend and holidays.
- This position does not guarantee 36 hours per week, as the facility reserves the right to cancel up to one (1) 12-hour shift per pay period.
