Travel ER Registered Nurse - $2,088 per week

About the Role

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department (ED) in Midland, Texas. This is an 8-week assignment starting on August 24, 2026, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of emergency cases, including abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, burns, CVA, drug overdose, gunshot wounds, head injury, hyperglycemia, infections, and more.
• Administer emergency medications, manage ventilated patients, and perform procedural sedation.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias, and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Triage patients, apply splints, and manage violent behavior.
• Care for patients across all age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in a Level II or III trauma setting.
• Recent ER travel experience within the past 6-8 months preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (willing to obtain if offered), NIHSS, NRP.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
• Ability to manage patient ratios and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• Strong clinical skills in emergency nursing, including triage, patient assessment, and critical care management.
• Experience with community hospital and LTAC settings preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in managing acute and critical care patients.
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, administer blood products, and care for ventilated patients.
• Experience with procedural sedation, intubation, and central line management.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems for eligible clinicians based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay and per diems may differ and are subject to change during an assignment.

Schedule

12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week.
