About the role

An opportunity is available for a skilled Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Registered Nurse to join a dynamic healthcare team. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within an Electrophysiology Lab, focusing on various cardiac procedures. This position is open to first-time travelers. An ASAP start is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing specialized procedures, including Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Mapping, and Arrhythmia Induction.
• Conduct Conduction Studies and assist with Baseline Measurements.
• Facilitate the insertion and programming of AICDs and Pacemakers.
• Perform Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal and Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure.
• Provide patient education and support during various procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage in various advanced cardiac care procedures, maintaining high standards of patient safety and care throughout all procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Proficiency in Epic and Electrophysiology Lab procedures is required.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing, Biology, or Chemistry.
• A high school diploma is required if the candidate's higher education degree is in another field.

Schedule

• Shift: 4x10 Days
• Typical Hours: 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM
• Call Requirements: Participation in one week of weekday call every two months and one weekend call every two months.
