Travel EP Lab RN - $2,792 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN Electrophysiology Lab for a travel nursing job in York, Pennsylvania. This is a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in a cardiovascular surgical environment
• Provide assistance to the physician including maintenance and monitoring of EKG equipment
• Assist during angioplasty, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization as a way to diagnose heart conditions or as a treatment
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs)
• Learn complex technologies effectively

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times
• Good skills for coping with stress and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
