Travel EP Lab RN - $2,600 per week

About the role

GTT Healthcare Staffing Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Electrophysiology Lab position in Wilmington, North Carolina. The assignment starts 10/26/2026, lasts 13 weeks (with possible extension through 2/27/2027), and involves 40 hours per week on a travel employment basis. The unit averages 15 cases per day and provides a 30‑hour orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide conscious sedation during electrophysiology procedures.
• Perform ablations (VT, PVI, CV, A‑Flutter, AV Node).
• Assist with ICD/pacer placement and exchanges.
• Perform laser lead extraction, lead extraction, and LAAO procedures.
• Operate specialized equipment including PFA, Cryo, ESI, IVUS, Cardio Lab, and EPIC‑CUPID systems.
• Manage medications via Pyxis and document using EPIC and Cardio Lab.
• Communicate using SBAR methodology.

Requirements

• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• CCI RCES and/or CCI RCIS certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• First‑time travelers are accepted.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with specialty in Electrophysiology Lab.

Skills

• Conscious sedation administration.
• Electrophysiology ablation techniques (VT, PVI, CV, A‑Flutter, AV Node).
• Device implantation (ICD/pacer) and lead extraction (laser and conventional).
• LAAO procedure support.
• Proficiency with PFA, Cryo, ESI, IVUS, Cardio Lab, and EPIC‑CUPID platforms.
• Medication management via Pyxis.
• Documentation and communication using EPIC, Cardio Lab, and SBAR.

Schedule

Shift pattern: 4×10‑hour days (07:30‑18:00). 40 hours per week. Start date 10/26/2026; initial duration 13 weeks with option to extend through 2/27/2027. Average daily census: 15 cases. Unit orientation: 30 hours.
