This position involves providing acute care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The ER nurse will handle a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients, with diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, and respiratory failure. Job Details Position Description: Emergency Department RN Shift: Nights, 14:30-3:00, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid NY license, current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications, EPIC EMR experience, at least 2 years of ED experience with some pediatric experience, travel experience required, a valid drivers license with address matching demographics, and documentation of travel experience. Preferred Qualifications: Charge capability experience, experience with rapid infusor and Arctic Sun equipment. Additional Information: The nurse must live at least 75 miles from the facility for travel. Float rotation may be required. The unit has 64 beds, including triage, acute, super track, trauma, CDU, and psych beds. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The role requires familiarity with medications such as pressors, vasopressors, anti-arrhythmics, sedatives, and insulin.
