Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,368 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Duluth, Minnesota. TotalMed RN is a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that matches clinicians with facilities nationwide. This is a 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour rotating shifts. The ideal candidate will have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and will work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care in a fast‑paced emergency environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain vital signs, and monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
