Job Summary

The Emergency Room Nurse in Presque Isle, Maine will provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The role requires adapting to a fast-paced environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in emergency or similar settings
• Able to work with a wide range of patient types and acuity levels

Additional Information

• Experience with charge procedures, EKGs, IV starts, nebulizer treatments, Bipap initiation, suture removal, casting assistance, and vent management is desirable
• Support staff includes RTs (respiratory therapists) on day shift, ED technicians, security, and critical care transport team
• Orientation includes two days of hospital and unit-specific training, plus one day with a preceptor
• No float requirements; scrub color is flexible, and hospital scrubs are not mandatory
• Onsite locker room, gym, free parking provided

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
