Emergency Room Nurse in Marshall, Michigan. This role involves providing professional nursing care in a busy emergency department. The nurse will utilize critical thinking and independent judgment across all phases of the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The position includes supervising the patient care team, which typically consists of Certified Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the emergency department
• Utilize critical thinking and independent judgment in all phases of the nursing process
• Supervise the patient care team, including Certified Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and other technicians

Schedule

• Nights shift, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/21/2026

Requirements

• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
• At least 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Cerner electronic medical record experience
• Charge nurse experience
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
• Own vehicle required

• All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; requests after offer may not be approved
• Prior to submission, ensure all RTO (Requested Time Off) days are included and verified in profile (no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted)
• Candidate must include their current work history and skills checklist related to Medical Surgical nursing
• Supervisory signed reference from within the past two years is required
