Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,152 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Springfield, Vermont. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts. The position is an immediate travel opening requiring 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. As an ER Travel Nurse you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care according to physician instructions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history.
• Check for patient allergies.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• TNCC certification
• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience (ER/ED)
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
