About the role
Emergency Room Registered Nurse role providing direct patient care in a busy emergency setting. The RN will assess, administer treatments, educate patients, and document care actions within a full-spectrum emergency department, including a dedicated Chest Pain Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency care in a fast-paced environment
- Assess, treat, and document patient care in the emergency department
- Work charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed
Requirements
- Valid RN licensure (must not be a previous employee of the facility)
- BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications
- At least 2 years of experience in the emergency department setting
- 1+ year of critical care nursing experience
- Residency outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Willingness to work night shifts (12 hours)
Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered. Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid. The healthcare provider retains the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
