Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,054 per week

About the role

We're looking for Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Bennington, VT. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. As an ER Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. RNs should have experience and skill caring for patients in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment. Emergency Room RNs will perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies
• Document medical history
• Check for patient allergies
• Obtain patient vital signs
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being
• Perform minor medical operations
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long-term care needs

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shift: 12 hours, nights; 36 hours per week; assignment duration: 13 weeks.
