Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,033 per week

About the role

We're looking for Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Mattoon, IL. As an ER Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. RNs should have experience and skill caring for patients in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment. Emergency Room RNs will perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain patient vital signs, and monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• 3 years (additional detail unspecified).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Duration: 13 weeks. 36 hours per week. Shift: 12 hours, evenings.
