About the role

Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in a healthcare facility in Marion, Iowa, featuring a rotating shift schedule. The role involves providing urgent care within a busy emergency department environment, supporting patient stabilization and treatment.

Schedule

Rotating shift hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Assignment starts on 09/08/2026 and ends on 12/08/2026. Orientation dates are 09/08/2026 and 09/14/2026. The role requires working 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed.

Responsibilities

• Managing patient care in a high-volume ER setting, including drips and titrations
• Working within patient ratios of 4:1
• Supporting patient stabilization and treatment procedures

Requirements

• Valid Iowa or multistate licensed Emergency Room (ER) nurse
• 24 months of current ER experience
• EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience
• Active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate (preferred but can be obtained during onboarding)
• Must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months

Preferred Qualifications

• Active PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA de-escalation certificates
