This role involves providing urgent care in a Level 2 Trauma Center on night shifts, with a focus on trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis care. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment within a 24-bed emergency department, delivering high-quality patient care with a positive team-oriented approach. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. The schedule includes every third weekend, with shifts ranging from 10:00 AM to 2:30 AM, as early as 10:00 AM and as late as 1:30 AM. Required Qualifications: Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license; 2 years of emergency or trauma nursing experience in a Level 2 trauma center; Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Knowledge of trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and triage procedures; Experience performing all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN); Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) or similar advanced certifications. Additional Information: Use of AIDET communication techniques and whiteboards preferred to enhance patient experience. The work environment emphasizes positive attitudes and a "can-do" culture. Dress code requires a cobalt blue top and black or cobalt blue pants, with solid colors and closed toe shoes.
