About the role
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position in an adult trauma emergency department. This role involves providing direct nursing care during the night shift, with responsibilities including implementing and monitoring patient care plans, assessing patient conditions, and coordinating discharge planning. The shift operates from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required.
Schedule
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care in a Level 1 trauma emergency department
- Monitor and document patient status
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Assess patient conditions
- Coordinate discharge planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
- Valid state nursing license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the AHA
- 2 years of experience in emergency room or equivalent healthcare setting
- Nursys license verification
- Driver’s license or state ID
