Travel Emergency Room RN - $1,904 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Austin, Texas. This is a 13‑week travel assignment, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries and plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain vital signs, and monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, stoop; lift up to 20 lb (patient moves may require up to 50 lb).
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH, CPI certifications.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
