The position involves providing care in a busy emergency department with a trauma level 2 designation and a 44-bed unit. Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 08/03/2026

Required Qualifications

• Illinois license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
• 2 years experience in a large busy hospital emergency department with pediatric and psychiatric exposure
• Patient population includes newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
• Emergency Critical Care Registered Nurse (ECRN) certification

Additional Information

• The role includes completing every other weekend shifts and a holiday rotation
• Permanent address must be outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
