Travel Emergency Room RN - $1,810 per week

Emergency Room Nurse travel assignment in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This position involves providing critical care in a fast-paced emergency department environment, managing a high volume of patients including stroke cases and pediatric emergencies within a facility that has a busy census.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care in a high-acuity emergency department setting
• Manage a high volume of patients, including stroke and pediatric emergencies
• Work within a 44-room facility, managing 10 beds/pods per team
• Adhere to staffing ratios of 1:4 or 1:6 in triage areas

Requirements

• Illinois Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• 3-5 years of ER experience
• Minimal time off in July for Epic updating; no time off in August due to go-live

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in high-acuity emergency care settings
• Familiarity with pediatric and stroke patient management

Additional Information

• Unit handles approximately 180 patients daily
• Orientation includes 12 hours of billable time and 6 hours of non-billable orientation starting August 26

Schedule

• Nights shift, 12 hours per shift
• 36 hours per week
• Duration: 12 weeks, starting 08/23/2026
