Travel Emergency Room RN - $1,642 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Arlington, Texas. This is a 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Work with a diverse team of caregivers.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history and check for allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI certifications.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
