Travel Emergency Room RN - $1,506 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Luling, Texas. This 13‑week assignment requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The ideal candidate will have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and will work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care in a fast‑paced ER environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies
• Document medical history and check for allergies
• Obtain patient vital signs
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long‑term care needs

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• NRP certification
• TNCC certification
• CPI certification
• NIH certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred)

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; up to 50 pounds for patient moves
• Strong stress‑coping skills
• Ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
