About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solution External is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Valparaiso, Indiana at Porter Hospital. Start date: October 19, 2026. Assignment length: 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency department care as an ER nurse in a 30‑bed unit.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4.
• Float to other units as required.

Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum one year of recent emergency department experience.
• Experience with Cerner EMR.

Benefits

• Guaranteed hours: 96 hours bi‑weekly.
• No required holiday or RTO blackout dates; up to one week of RTO allowed.
• No on‑call obligations.

Schedule

• Night shift: 4×12‑hour blocks, 7 P.M. to 7 A.M.
• Total weekly hours: 48.
• Block scheduling is not an option for this assignment.
