Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Kirksville, Missouri.
About the Role
This 13-week travel assignment starts on August 24, 2026, with a 12-hour night shift and 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Handle patients with ESI levels 1-5
- Care for stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients
- Perform triage and rapid assessment
- Place PIVs, NG/OG tubes, foleys, and splints
- Provide wound care and assist with art line, central line, and chest tube placement
- Manage medication drips at night
- Complete EMTALA paperwork
- Assist with psych patient placement
- Float to other departments as needed
- Precept new staff (eventually)
- Manage a 4-5:1 patient ratio
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of ED RN experience
- At least 1+ year of travel nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Experience with triage, PIV, port access/deaccess, foley placement, NG/OG placement, wound care, and splint/OCL application
- Willingness to precept and float to other departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a preceptor and/or charge nurse
- US-guided IV skills
