Travel Emergency Dept RN - $2,269 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Kirksville, Missouri.

About the Role

This 13-week travel assignment starts on August 24, 2026, with a 12-hour night shift and 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Handle patients with ESI levels 1-5
• Care for stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients
• Perform triage and rapid assessment
• Place PIVs, NG/OG tubes, foleys, and splints
• Provide wound care and assist with art line, central line, and chest tube placement
• Manage medication drips at night
• Complete EMTALA paperwork
• Assist with psych patient placement
• Float to other departments as needed
• Precept new staff (eventually)
• Manage a 4-5:1 patient ratio

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of ED RN experience
• At least 1+ year of travel nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Experience with triage, PIV, port access/deaccess, foley placement, NG/OG placement, wound care, and splint/OCL application
• Willingness to precept and float to other departments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a preceptor and/or charge nurse
• US-guided IV skills
