Travel Emergency Dept RN - $2,169 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a travel nursing opportunity in Kennewick, WA. This 13-week assignment requires night shifts, 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have recent acute care experience and be prepared to work in a fast-paced, urgent care environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions
• Perform minor medical operations
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long-term care needs
• Document medical history and check for patient allergies
• Obtain patient vital signs
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being
• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds easily; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds
• Good coping skills for stress
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
