Travel Emergency Dept RN - $2,017 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Emergency Department (ED) position in Dallas, Texas. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. The role is for an Emergency Room RN with 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care per physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history.
• Check for patient allergies.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, CPI certifications.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop.
• Able to lift 20 lbs routinely; up to 50 lbs when moving/lifting patients.
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
