About the role

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the emergency department, ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department.
• Conduct assessments and triage patients based on their medical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records through the documentation system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Engage in patient education and advocacy efforts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an emergency department setting.
• Must possess ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI certifications by the start date.
• NIHSS certification is required at hire or to be obtained within 90 days.
• Experience working in a Level II trauma center and high-volume emergency department preferred.
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide feedback in real time.

Pay & Schedule

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
