Travel Emergency Dept RN - $1,629 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Nashville, Tennessee. Start date: 11/09/2026; duration: 13 weeks; schedule: 36 hours per week (12‑hour night shifts); employment type: travel.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries, and plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain vital signs, and monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, CPI certifications.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs (patient lifts may require up to 50 lbs).
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
