Travel Emergency Department RN - $2,405 per week

About the role

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The assignment lasts approximately 13.14 weeks, starting October 5, 2026, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor side effects.
• Document patient care with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Apply knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning safe delivery of care.
• Float within scope and experience as needed in a Level 3 trauma ED with a 4:1 patient ratio.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of emergency department RN experience.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC.
• Preferred certification: NRP.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Level 3 trauma emergency department.
• Ability to work with a 4:1 patient ratio and float within scope.
• Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills.
