Travel Emergency Department RN - $2,282 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour rotating shifts. The ideal candidate will have 1‑2 years of recent acute‑care experience and will work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care in a fast‑paced ER environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history and check for allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs and monitor emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 lb routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 lb.
• Cope with stress and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• Current ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS certifications.
• 1‑2 years of recent acute‑care (ER) experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
